Re: Back from Win10 upgrade of DOOM!!!

I have been on Windows 10 since launch week and have had no issues. In fact, BF1942 has been more stable for me on Windows 10 than Windows 7 (knock on wood). My only issues were after I did the upgrade...my computer kept locking up so I reformatted my HD and did a fresh install of Windows 10. Has be...

Re: BF1942 Launcher

MissileSilo, it seems the program does not work for Windows Vista users. Both Roadrunner and Toonce have tried it and it force closes for them. They tried changing the compatibility mode to windows xp but still no luck. Not sure but is there anything you can do to get it working on Vista?

From what I have heard, when saving a server as a favorite in the game, it saves the IP allowing it to connect directly and not freeze when clicking on the server. For those who do not know where to find it, you can find the download link for MissileSilo's program in this thread:

Re: BF1942 Launcher

I love your little utility and already find it very useful. A couple of requests for future versions (not sure if possible or not):

-Ability to mark servers as favorites
-Ability to add server by IP

Other than that, I think this is a great solution for the upcoming gamespy problem.

Thanks!

Keeping the game alive

As most of us know, Gamespy will be shutting down its servers for good May 31st, 2014. This means when opening the game and going to the server list, the game will freeze when clicking on any of the servers.
