What should the new Formula be?

Ok everyone, here's your chance to create the formula for the server stats. Post the formula you think should be used. Do not just post a formula though, explain your reasoning for this formula. Who it gives extra credit to and who it takes away from and why.


THE CURRENT FORMULA IS:

Here is the information you need to create the formula and everything that is allowed and recognized by the stats:

Nobody else replied so I went ahead and gave it a try.

I do not look at my score much, however I started playing around with this a little and had some thoughts.

I think K/D shouldn't be used as multiple in a capture the flag game unless average flag captures are valued higher. (I am biased)

Also, since it is easy and possible to reward teamwork behavior such as healing, objectives and maybe repairs then I think they would be a nice addition.

I wish a flag cap would also distribute points team wide since so often people go out of their way to help the capper and get nothing.

Essentially what I was going for was to change the scoring system, eliminating the high value T/K ratio since this is a flag game, and micromanaging incentives. I don't know, their may be a gaping flaw in here somewhere/I did this kinda quick.

(kills*1)+(captures*10)+(attacks*.2)+(objectives*+2)+(heals*.2)+(repairs*.2)+(PLACEMENT POINTS)-(TKS*.5)+(deaths*.2)/(rounds_played*1.1)



tks -.5
More often than not it is a hard to avoid accident but still a little something to get them to look before bombing. I suppose most serial teamkillers don't care about points though.

deaths -.2
Because trying to play shouldn't be penalized too much. (BTW I die more than most so I may be biased, but this is a cap flag game...)

flag captures +10
I think this is the current value? and seems ok to me

Attacks .2
I do not know what this is but assume it is an attack/hit w/o kill, so reward for getting out and playing

objectives +2 (if this is base captures)
It takes a while to capture locations (I could kill 2 or 3 people in the same time) not including getting to location.

heals +.2
People don't really use this @ hkhp but you could provide incentive I guess

selfheals 0

repairs +.2
Just another very small almost meaningless incentive to encourage teamwork

otherrepairs ?

rounds_played /by (hopefully by min. and not rounds)
I do not really know about this one but I think limiting the frequent player bias but not so much that the one time players get on top

score

kdrate 0 Because this is capture the flag
Just let the deaths/kills take care of this

first +30

second +20

third +10

Ahh yes, I did not realize "otherrepairs" meant repair to others... hmm

@donvara7, I think

attacks
means the number of time you took the enemy flag without capping it. So maybe since it is a CTF game server it would be nice to include kind of a Kill/Death ratio but for capping flag.

Something like this:
